Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a visit today to the Arab Republic of Egypt held a joint conference with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, whom he thanked for the hospitality and cooperation.
Rama promised to establish a direct Cairo-Tirana airline, commenting that this will help Albanians vacationing in Egypt and promised that from the Albanian side “the line will never be empty”.
“Trade figures between our countries are modest, but the potential is there.
“I take with me the promise to take care of myself, to establish a direct airline between Cairo and Tirana. I do not know from the Egyptian side, but from the Albanian side I assure you that it will never be empty. This airline will not be a burden for the company but will help many Albanians who want to visit this land, which used to be the ‘back door’ of our homeland.
“I want to thank you again and conclude with the wish that what is perhaps the most precious distinguishing feature of Egypt, your extraordinary culture, be the basis for our cooperation in the cultural field.
“Let us look to the future with the conviction that there was a reason why history has bound us so strongly and that between Albanians and Egyptians there will be a path to the future”, said among other things PM Rama.
