The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, wished a happy anniversary of
independence to Kosovo, praising the country’s harmony between different
communities.

“I want to congratulate all of our brothers and sisters in Kosovo, and also those who live in other countries during this very important moment. As any other anniversary, this also has a great responsibility, because the days of a not-so-distant past are still fresh”, Rama said.

The Albanian Prime Minister hoped for a quick return of former Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, saying that his absence is a huge gap on this important day.

The Albanian Prime Minister said that February 17th should be considered as a blessed day for every community living in Kosovo.

“Not only Albanians, but also Serbs and other communities should see this as a blessed day, because Kosovo proved to be a radiating example of harmonious co-existence between different communities. Kosovo is showing to everyone that this is not only desirable, but also possible”, Rama said.

Rama was a guest of honor at the solemn ceremony held at the Parliament of Kosovo, which was dedicated to the 9th anniversary of Independence.
