PM Rama confirms initiative of President for dialogue with the opposition

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, confirmed the initiative of
President Bujar Nishani to sit and try to resolve the crisis.

Rama said he is ready to sit, without conditions, with every political party.

“This is again the time to insist for dialogue. There is an initiative of the President, which we have supported without hesitation. We have underlined that we are ready to sit and dialogue, without condition, same as before. The answer is being delayed. I hope it is not a delay which will warn the failing of this other effort”, Rama said.

“Time is running out. DP and its leader should not be afraid from dialogue in the table where all parliamentary parties express their views. It is an unjustified fear for the public opinion and the voters of the DP”, Rama said.

But is the Prime Minister really ready to sit and talk with Basha and Meta in a room, maybe as MEP Kukan described it a few days ago, and not get out of there before an arrangement is made?

“That room would have to have a chimney. I will not impose such a condition. I am ready to go and talk with the DP leader in any building that he may feel ready to dialogue”, Rama declared.
