The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and the Minister of Infrastructure, Damian Gjiknuri, inspected the works for the road that will connect Tirana with Dibra.
This road, part of the ancient Via Egnatia, will be an important part of Corridor 8. It is one of the biggest investments in the country’s infrastructure.
The road is 35 kilometers long and they are currently working on 29 of them. Two bridges are already built, while two other are under construction.
There are four tunnels in total. One of them, 500 meters long, has been opened as a gallery and work is undergoing in all other tunnels.
The construction of bridges and tunnels remains the hardest part of this road, which, at its completion, will also offer an impressive view.
