Pipeline connecting Albania and Italy is now being installed at sea by TAP

The Trans Adratic Pipeline is now working at seas.

The Castoro 10 company has laid the first 1.8 kilometers in shallow water and is testing them.

The works are also undergoing in the shore, near Fier, to cover the pipeline and installing the optic fiber.

The pipeline that will connect Albania with Italy is 105 kilometers long. 37 km will be in Albania’s territorial waters, 25 in Italy’s and 43 in international waters.

The deepest point will be 810 meters. The company is using a total of 100.000 tons of pipes.
