Patozi: “Not begging anyone in coalition”

The Head of the Parliamentary Group for the Democratic Party, invited in
Top Channel’s Top Story, declared that the DP wouldn’t beg anyone in
coalition for the Elections 2013, when asked about the critics received
by their ally, the Socialist Movement for Integration.

“First of all, this is all hypothetical, and I cannot give a definitive answer to this. But even if we take for granted what you are saying, what remains for us is to not beg or impose anyone for alliances before or after the elections. This is what we also followed when we allied with the SMI. The DP is prepared for any scenario, because we can’t leave the fate of our results on the hands of a third party, even if they are our partners”, Patozi declared.

As regards the resolution about Chameria, filed at Parliament by the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity, Patozi declared that his personal vote was in favour, but the majority would not vote under pressure.

“As an MP, I haven’t seen it yet. I will review it and maybe improve it, so that it can be approved, since this is the goal. I can say that I vote a resolution that defends the interests of the Albanian citizens. But beyond this desire, since the resolution should not only test the awareness of the Albanians for the Cham case, we must think that Albania and Greece has a friendship treaty, and we should be based on it”, Patozi added.
