Parliament Speaker in Budapest

The Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli, participated at the conference of Parliament Speakers of Western Balkan in Hungary.

The topics of this conference were the integration dimensions, security, economic challenges and Western Balkans perspectives. Mrs. Topalli declared in her speech that as regards security, an important merit for the security comes from a country’s economic model and wellbeing.
 
“Our economic stability makes us feel better, but above all, we must consolidate it even more”, Topalli declared.

By praising the conference, the Speaker added that it is a very valuable initiative in which the Central European countries, through Hungary, have set their priorities for the integration processes.

The Hungarian Parliament Speaker declared that Albania has advanced and has undertaken concrete steps, adding that our country has Hungary’s support for the EU integration.

During this conference, the Albanian Parliament Speaker also met other regional homologs, who she updated with the latest developments in our country. The Conference of the Parliament Speakers of Western Balkans closed with a reception at the Presidential Palace, where Topalli met the Hungarian President, Pal Schmitt, about matters of mutual interest.
