The Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, said that next week’s
meeting between the EU and Western Balkan countries will focus more on
the divorce with Britain than on new marriages with Balkan countries.
Majlinda Bregu, chairwoman of the National Council of Integration, said the path of our countries towards the EU, and also the efforts to preserve the attraction to the Union, will be more difficult than before Brexit.
Aldo Bumci, The Democratic Party representative at this Council, said that a political agreement between all forces is needed to avoid internal crises now that EU and USA might not be as focused to Albania as before.
However, Minister Bushati presented projects expecting to be invested by the EU, with Albania receiving funds for the Tirana-Durres and Tirana-Airport railways.
