The trial for the official seal of the party caused the DP opposition’s Reestablishment group to postpone the day of the protest in front of the City Hall from Tuesday to Monday.

While waiting for the final verdict on the fate of the party seal, the supporters of Sali Berisha continued the action demanding the resignation of the mayor Erion Veliaj.

In the protests, the democrats seem to have given up molotov cocktails as they are now protesting by burning tires. Symbolically, they also set fire to the mayor.

The intervention of the police to put out the fire drew a strong response from the protesters who launched a barrage of eggs and hard objects in the direction of the police, injuring an officer.

The police responded with tear gas, which did not spare even the party officials who burst into tears.

The protest also had a fight for the microphone between the speakers as well as enthusiasm for the victory of the right parties in Europe.

But, before reaching the desired early elections, the democrats have their eyes on the Court of Appeal, which tomorrow is expected to put an end to the saga of the fight for the official seal of the Democratic Party between its divided groups.
