The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said the government’s retirement pension raise is ridiculous.
“They just offended 635.000 retired people. Rama has raised their pensions with 230 ALL for urban areas, and 130 ALL for the rural. Just one loaf of bread a month. This is the generosity of Edi Rama, while prices have raised with 4.8% for education, 16.3% for fruits and 7.1% for vegetables, according to the INSTAT”, Basha said.
“This is a shame of the outgoing government, move that has been despised. What can senior citizens pay with this raise? The increased energy price? Increased bus tickets? Or the medicaments of Ilir Beqja? This ridiculous decision will not save Rama from the soon-to-come political retirement”, the DP leader added.
The opposition leader had declared yesterday that recent official data for the first semester of this year show that economy has plunged even lower into crisis, with consumption and local production dropping.
