On the last day of the US Democratic Party National Convention, which
confirmed Hillary Clinton as candidate for President, the opposition
leader met with Senators and Congressmen, including the Vice Leader of
the Committee for Foreign Affairs at the US Congress, Elliot Engel.
Congressman Engel valued Basha’a important contribution in the justice reform, and congratulated him for the leadership that helped improve the standards recommended by the Venice Commission.
“Consensus was the only way to guarantee justice untouched by politics”, Engel underlined, congratulating Basha for his principle stance.
After the Decriminalization Law and the Justice Reform, Basha said that free and fair elections are the next challenge for Albania.
