The feasibility study of the Vlora Airport has spurred discussions between two Ministers, Damian Gjiknuri of Infrastructure and Finance Minister Arben Ahmetaj.
The Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, demanded details about the study, but Minister Gjiknuri said they cannot be given without compromising the negotiations.
“The propositions that we have received are much cheaper than the flight prices in Rinas”, Gjiknuri declared.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, reacted on social networks: “Why do they vote against the Vlora Airport? It’s a 100 million EUR investment, 1000 permanent jobs with a great economic impact”, Rama wrote.
