An unprecedented plenary session was held today in the Parliament of Albania, where the high tensions between the opposition MPs and the majority degraded into physical clashes.

Initially, the opposition MPs blocked the pulpit, while the representatives of the Guard of the Republic were put on standby.

The debate degraded into a physical clash, where, according to the Top Channel’s Muhamed Veliu, the democratic opposition deputy Gledion Nallbati hit socialist deputy Vullnet Sina.

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha started broadcasting live on his Facebook page when the parliament session was closed.

Among other things, Berisha said: “This is Edi Rama’s parliament, these are a shameful group that have no morals, no shame, shame a thousand times, history of shame, history of villains, nothing you will pass, be clear there is no stopping of our battle either, we will be here.

DP’s Bardhi to the parliament Speaker: For weeks you have brought the Assembly of Albania to a standstill. Unprecedented actions, starting from your behavior and unconstitutional decisions. Never in the history of this parliament has it happened to vote without giving the opposition the right to speak, never in history has it happened without giving any explanation without making any effort, never in history.

Speaker Nikola: It is not a procedure.

Kryemadhi: Let Mr. Bardhi finish it.

After this situation, the Assembly interrupted the broadcast several times until the final closure, until a second announcement.
