Only private guards on trial for bank robbery

The Tirana Prosecution is closing the investigation for the robbery of
3.8 million EUR from a security van, while being transported to the
airport.

Six security guards are being accused of power abuse. They are being held in prison, and they said they didn’t fire because they were caught by surprise and were scared. But the Prosecution thinks they didn’t follow the regulation.

The Prosecution explains the dynamics by underlining that most of the money were in the first car, which had only two police officers. The second vehicle had four other officers.

The security cameras show how the robbers attack the private robbers only by slapping them. The robbers were masked and armed.

The Prosecution said that two of the private police officers had parked close to the tunnel entrance, leaving enough space for the robbers to do their work.
