Two policemen escaped unharmed an assassination attempt today, after being shot at from a moving vehicle by an as yet unidentified person, in the “Partizani” neighborhood of Vlora.
The author driving a “Volkswagen” type vehicle, shot at the “Audi” type vehicle in which the off-duty police officers Anxhelo Breshani and Nako Mehmetaj were traveling in an private vehicle.
They later testified that they were caught by surprise in front of the bullets and that they had not been able to identify the perpetrator.
But they were only able to see the “Volkswagen” type vehicle.
It is not yet known whether this event is related to their duty, or for other reasons. The investigative team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances and identify an the perpetrators.
