No masks in public; Police fine 690 citizens 3000 ALL in the last 24 hours

Albanian police announced today that a total of 690 citizens have been fined in the last 24 hours because they did not wear a protective mask in public.

Meanwhile two persons were fined 5,000,000 lek in Dibër for organizing an illegal manifestation, while a business administrator was fined with 1,000,000 Lek for violating anti-Covid measures.

7 persons who refused to show the identification document to the Police were penalized with the administrative measure of 3,000 ALL and then released.

Also, during the checks an entity was identified exercising its business activity in violation of health security protocols.

An administrative measure of 1,000,000 ALL has been imposed on the administrator of this subject.

The State Police added in their statement that in addition to the work to prevent, identify and crack down on lawlessness, will continue to work and monitor the implementation of anti-Covid measures throughout the country.

In this context, all citizens are called upon to implement anti-covid measures and not to leave their homes after 22:00 until 06:00.
