The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, addressed a message to the
Albanian people for the New Year 2013. The President first addressed his
message to people affected by diseases, those who are homeless and the
categories in need.
The President wished for the unemployed to find a solution and a good year for those who faced disgraces during 2012.
“I want to greet from afar the emigrants and students, who were unable to be here. I wish a happy new year to the Albanian peace-keepers, wherever they are. I wish that the highways for 2013 will be full of trucks, the skies full of airplanes, roads full of cars, alleys full of hugs, garners full of crops, hearts full of heart-beatings, souls full of love. For each of you and your loved ones I wish more health, more jobs, more well-being, more peace and more luck. Happy New Year”, Nishani declared.
Berisha’s speech for the New Year
On New Year’s Eve, Prime Minister wished a happy 2013 to all Albanians.
“In these few moments before the New Year arrives, I want to be here with you, to share with you this message, the joy for the year we expect, and I wish for you, your loved ones, a happy new year full of health, prosperity, happiness, joy, success. I hope that 2013 will be the year that will realize your most beautiful aspirations and dreams, ” Berisha declared.
The Head of the Albanian Government wished a happier new year to those who lost their relatives in 2012, and those who faced pain, misery, diseases and unemployment.
“2012 was the year of our flag, of our pride, of our 100th anniversary of independence. November 28th will remain in our national memory not only as the 100th anniversary of independence, but as the day of the biggest popular movement for the unification of the Albanian nation. Never in history have the Albanians felt so close to each other than on November 28th. The message of this day is: Let’s come together in the path towards Europe, towards our national ideals”, Berisha declared.
The Prime Minister added that 2013 will be a blessed year for the Albanians.
Sequi: 2013, a new chance
The European Commission Ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi, addressed a message to the Albanian people for the new year, saying that 2013 will be a new chance for the Albanians to fulfill the criteria and serve to the country’s integration.
“Dear Albanian friends. This New Year that will come after a few moments will be the third one for me in your beautiful country and with you. I know that I still speak Albanian as the Arberesh in Italy do. The Albanians are geographically European and I believe this with my heart. I believe that their dream and European project will be important for your country and for its European perspective. A New Year is not just a new number in the calendar, but a new opportunity. I believe that we will realize challenges in the future. I wish a happy New Year to all of you”, Sequi declared.
