Sued in the Constitutional Court by lawyers, the new map of the courts of Albania is also being inspected by the High Inspector of Justice, from where is to be understood the impact it brought to the judicial processes at national level, after reports of blocking of thousands of processes.

High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani says that if necessary, the authorities will intervene.

“The new map needs its time to adapt to the new situation, and the magistrate must adapt to the new judicial map. It is a process that we are seeing in the future, and at any moment that we will ascertain a situation for which we must intervene, we will intervene, and this will undoubtedly be made public”, he said.

Only in the court of Tirana, to whichis added the workload of the court of Kruja in the northeast of the capital, the stock of files has reached 19 thousand cases.

“There are more complaints about judges than about prosecutors, it is natural that this is the process, because the court is the last decision-making body after a judicial, criminal process. So the highest number of complaints comes for judges, generally for the courts of the big cities such as Tirana, Durrës, Vlora, because undoubtedly the biggest social problems arise in the cities with the most population. We are looking at all of them as a priority, even small towns, because justice is the same everywhere”, stressed Metani.

In all Courts of First Instance, the stock counts 40,000 cases. More than 5,000 citizens have complained to the justice inspectorate, most of them for not clarifying the decisions. Property litigations continues to be the main unsolved problem.
