Minister Nasip Naco was at the Court of Appeal in Vlore for the annual
report, where he underlined that the Ministry of Justice is committed to
reform the judiciary.
He underlined that courts should be oriented in giving alternative convictions for all crimes that have a 5-year sentence, since prisons throughout the country are overpopulated.
Naco admitted the problems of the judiciary infrastructure and declared that the archive of courts will turn digital, with a 3 million USD investment that will start in May.
After the meeting Naco answered to the interest of journalists referring the “Doschi case. He said that he trusts the Prosecution, which will have an official statement in the days to come. He declared that the judiciary institutions should not be influenced by the political pressures or corruption.
The Minister made a surprise visit at the Vlore Property Registration Offices. He noticed an absence of the workers and said that he will take measures for this lack of attention from the leaders of the institution.
