The High-Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy, Federica
Mogherini, left Albania this morning after meeting with the Democratic
Party leader, Lulzim Basha, at 07:00.
Basha said that the justice reform was one of the points of discussion with Mrs.Mogherini. He said that this reform needs political dialogue.
“The justice reform is a process, not a law that waits in Parliament. We need political dialogue for this law to turn into constitutional amends and laws. This government has not created the conditions for political dialogue. On the contrary, they have invested and are still investing for political conflict. Political dialogue is the condition for progress. It takes us towards consensus based on the Venice criteria”, Basha said.
Basha added for journalists that fight against crime and corruption are the main conditions for the opposition. He was accompanied in this meeting by MPs Majlinda Bregu, Albiona Halimi, Gent Strazimiri and Aldo Bumci.
