Minister on Top Talk: No increase in energy prices for families, small businesses, we work to attain 24 hours uninterrupted tapwater

Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku spoke today on the “Top Talk” show on Top Channel, about infrastructure projects, energy and water, within Albania.

Asked if there will be an increase in the price of electricity in 2022, Minister Balluku said that family consumers and small business will not be affected by the increase in energy prices.

“There are a significant improvements in the Drini cascade powerplants, in the last three days. We expected more rainfall than we had. At the moment we are producing energy in the Koman and Vau i Dejës dams, we are sparing Fierza plant. It has been used during the last three days with certain schedules as it was necessary “, said Balluku.

“There will be no increase in electricity for ’04’ category of subscribers, households and small businesses. The government has undertaken to protect all this band of consumers”, added the minister.

When asked when we can have 24 hours of uninterrupted tapwater, Balluku answered: “In urban areas it should be achieved within this 4-year period and then we will continue with the tourist areas, which are the mountain resorts or those by the sea , and then we will continue working with the entire rural network in all Albania “.
