The Minister of Finances, Arben Ahmetaj, introduced some government law
amends that aim to make it easier for farmers to sell products and
receive cash in return, for quantities mounting upb to 30.000 ALL.
“This daily transaction will be made with cash”, Ahmetaj said.
Transactions from 30.000 to 150.000 ALL will be carried out through the bank or the post office. Those higher than 150.000 ALL, only through the bank.
The Minister of Finances asked the Albanian Post Office to extend its service in rural areas where farmers’ product is collected.
Another concern raised by exporters was related to customs.
“There will be a 24/hour service for exporters of farming products”, Ahmetaj said.
“The changes come after two letters sent by Petrit Vasili, the Head of the Parliamentary Group for the Socialist Movement of Integration. He requested easier conditions for farmer, but it seems that the SMI was not the only one demanding this.
“The chairman of the commission of economy, Erjon Brace, has been raising this concern for the past three months and the first concern has come from the collectors of Fier, Lushnje and Berat”, Ahmetaj declared.
