Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu, while asking the Assembly today to approve the normative act for the obligatory wearing of masks and closing of night life, gave the alarm for the exhaustion of the hospital capacities for COVID-19 patients.

The Minister of Health has criticized in the Assembly some deputies for not using the mask during the session, at a time when on its agenda is precisely the normative act for keeping the mask under obligation indoors.

“It has been several weeks that the coronavirus in the country has increased the burden on the health system due to the increase in the number of affected. I am here to ask you for support to approve the normative act, but as I introduce it, I see that You are not wearing the mask, and if you do not keep the barrier that protects you and your colleagues, you certainly cannot be the best example to be taken, for the measures we must implement”.

She further adds: “In both COVID hospitals, we have over 120 hospitalized and dozens of others suspected as infected. Very soon we will exhaust the capacities of the two hospitals and then we will extend the plan to open the third and maybe fourth hospital.
