Interior Minister Taulant Balla today held a meeting with the structures of the State Police at the Hani i Hoti Border Crossing Point in Shkodër, in the north of Albania.
He congratulated the officers for the work done for the smooth running of the tourist season and the flow at both northern border points, Muriqan and Hani i Hoti, and has underlined that the work should continue at the same pace as the influx of people and vehicles is not yet over.
“You have done a very good job in the smooth running of the tourist season and the influx in both border points covered by this directorate, both Muriqani and Hani i Hoti.
“This is an important point as not only it connects Albania with Montenegro, but it is part of the ‘Blue Corridor’ and naturally a large number of European citizens choose to pass through this point to come to Albania or to continue further south. So I want to congratulate you for your work and increase your readiness to document any form of border crime”, said Balla among other things.
