The Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, attended the Foreign
Ministers meeting of NATO countries, held this Friday in Brussels.
Bushati expressed Albania’s support for an increased NATO commitment in the fight against terror, in coordination with EU and other partners.
Bushati identified the steps undertaken by our country in the fight against violent extremism.
“Albania comes at this ministerial meeting with a series of concrete contributions and achievements which align our country with our most active partners, in NATO missions and operations including Afghanistan, Kosovo, the Aegean Sea and soon Latvia”, Bushati declared.
The Foreign Minister mentioned the concrete actions undertaken by our country, by increasing the defense budget for 2016-2017 period, with the purpose to modernize the Armed Forces.
