METE: CEZ to pay debts

The Ministry of Economy, after failing to convince CEZ paying the
obligations to the Albanian Energy Corporation was obliged to review the
law for “treating energy bills as executive titles”.
The news published today on Shqip newspaper says that same as CEZ considers the consumers’ energy bill as executive titles, the Ministry also considers the obligations of CEZ towards KESH and other operators as such.
“The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Economy proposes that this title should act for all these operators”, the Ministry declared yesterday.
CEZ owes 50 million EUR to KESH, and refuses to pay it before the Albanian state pays the debt to CEZ, which also is millions of EUR.
