Edi Rama and Ilir Meta slammed distantly one another today over the president’s complaint letter sent to Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi.

To the Prime Minister’s statement that for the first time “a candidate country has Brussels in favor and its President against”, Ilir Meta responded by publicly rereading the letter sent to Brussels.

“The president is not afraid of the fact that sending the fight with the socialist majority to the doors of Brussels could undermine the path of integration, as he sees the blame elsewhere,” commented Meta said.

Ilir Meta also had an advice for Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruçi, who along with his Austrian counterpart responded to the ultimatums of his predecessor regarding the dissolution of Parliament.

“I was listening to Ruçi earlier. I think he will at least demand an investigation into the Justice Ministry issue. The facts require an analysis so that the assembly is either aligned with the rule of law state, or the mafia groups”, Meta said.
