Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta met this Thursday with the Rapporteur for
Albania at the European Parliament, Knut Fleckenstein, with whom he
discussed the challenges of Albania in the EU membership path.
The Parliament Speaker underlined that the decriminalization process must be completed as soon as possible to make way to a complete focus on the judiciary reform, a process that requires all inclusiveness and stability.
Knut Fleckenstein said that the European Parliament values the progress of Albania and waits the Progress-Report of the Commission, which is expected to offer a positive evaluation and further recommendation for the progress of Albania in the integration process, for which the judiciary reform will be essential.
