The Mayor of Gjirokaster, Flamur Bime, reacted one day after the
National Inspectorate for Territory Protection raised a criminal charge
against him, with the accusation of giving illegal construction permits.
Bime declared in a press release today that the accusations of the National Inspectorate for Territory Protection are unfounded. He underlined that during his entire work as Mayor of Gjirokaster, he has only followed the law.
“We have all the documents that prove the activity of the municipality. We are based on the rules and laws in effect., We have the entire documentation ready for the National Inspectorate for Territory Protection and for the Prosecution”, Bime declared.
The National Inspectorate for Territory Protection accused the Mayor of Gjirokaster of giving illegal permits for the construction of an apartment building at the “18 Shtatori” area.
