Dijar Xhema, from Mitrovica, who terrorized the city of Vlore four days
ago, with violent attacks against passerby citizens, chanting and
“Allahu Akbar”, will be detained at the Psychiatric hospital and will
not be held in prison, the Court of Serious Crimes ruled.
The Prosecution requested to keep him in prison for terrorism charges but Xhema’s lawyer brought medical reports from the Mitrovica hospital which proved his mental illness.
The Prosecution requested a psychiatric evaluation for Xhema. He had tried to kidnap three persons in his vehicle, and he would have caused more damage if he wasn’t stopped by passerby citizens the two first times, and by police with the third time.
