After recent clashes between the government and the president of the republic, the majority said today that it has completed the work of several weeks of drafting a law consisting of 45 articles, on the competencies of the President of the Republic.
SP MP Adnor Shameti in a statement to the media today spoke about the law to the president of the country, emphasizing that with its creation will end all “artificial cramps” that have been created.
According to him, this draft law does not reduce the competencies of the president, but clearly defines all the duties of the head of state.
“I am sure that this law will end all the artificial impasse that has been created in the country by respecting the Constitution of Albania in more detail. It is not a question of limiting the powers of the president, but of his constitutional rights. The working group has completed the draft. This agreed draft will be subject to procedures, starting with the submission to the Assembly. “It is a complete law, not for the privileges of the president, but that puts an end to artificial stalemates,” he said.
