Lushnje Police say 65-year-old Sokrat Shahini was found dead in his
apartment, with a self-inflicted fatal wound from a handgun. Police
found close to the body a letter with a name and an address.
The name written on the letter was “Jonida Canaku”, and the address belonged to the apartment where they found her dead body.
Canaku was reported missing from her relatives two days ago, and police found sings of violence on her body.
Experts scrutinized the scene and found that Sokrat Shahini had murdered Jonida Canaku after meeting with her in a Durres beach apartment. Then he had left to Lushnje, where he committed suicide.
