The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, reacted this Saturday about the National Lottery license.
Through an editorial published on the SP official internet page, Rama emphasizes that the letter sent to the Austrian Chancellor was in respect of a friend and partner country, and the head of the Austrian government themselves.
“This was the moment to inform the Chancellor of this friend country for our view about the National Lottery”, Rama declared.
The opposition leader says that the purpose of the Socialist Party to undo the tender that was organized only to give it to the Austrian company is now made public.
“This decision has nothing to do with the company itself. We have nothing to do with that company and with any other company, when dark procedures have brought preset winners”, Rama declared.
“Our action is against the corrupted politics that has imposed these procedures for goals that are against the public interest, and even with national security in some special cases”, the SP leader added.
He said that the opposition cannot allow the National Lottery turn into a gambling game in which the Albanians pay and the government wins.
“We explained how we want to organize the National Lottery and how to put it in function of the public interest”, Rama declared.
“The National Lottery is a game that is organized by the state not for making someone businessman happy and all the people pay, so that the managers of the game receive millions of EUR”, Rama declared.
