The dumping process of the urban and hospital wastes in the Qender
Librazhd Commune has made the residents of this area gather into a
protest.
After two mysterious deaths of their young residents, regardless to what the doctors say about the cause, the residents think that the wastes should be removed from their area.
This is the site where the authorities dump the urban wastes of the town of Librazhd, and also those coming from the hospital and the poultry farms.
“We have a toxic pollution from the wastes that they dump here. We have had many sick people. We will continue our protest until the wastes will be removed”, one of the residents declared.
This is the first protest that the Qender residents are holding against the waste materials in their area. They warn that they will soon place concrete blocks on the roads for stopping heavy vehicles that carry wastes.
