Lezhe, bomb found in van

The driver noticed a package in the back seat of the vehicle, with a cell phone attached on it.

He notified the police immediately, suspecting that this was an explosive.

The police officers secured the area and a special team deactivated the object. Authorities are investigating the circumstances.

Police: “Arson, five taken in custody”

The vehicle of the Education Directory in Korce, Kristaq Grabocka, has been burned last night while being parked at the Neighborhood nr.3 of the city.

Unidentified persons have broken the window, poured petrol and then started the fire.

Police suspects that the motive might be related with Grabocka’s profession, and the authorities have taken five people in custody while investigating the case.

This might have been foretold, since a few days ago the same vehicle had its tires slashed. The attack had been reported at the police.
