A tragic event took place in the early hours of yesterday’s evening at Koplik. A husband shot his wife with a gun and then himself.
Kole and File Makaj are currently under the care of the medics at the Shkoder Regional Hospital, in grave conditions.
The couple was alone in their residence, a house at the center of Koplik, when a harsh quarrel started between the two.
The quarrel between the Makajs degenerated to the use of firearms. The husband, Kole Makaj, shot several times towards his wife, under high emotional conditions.
After taking his wife for dead, he shot himself with a bullet in the chest.
The gunshots were heard by their son, who was staying at the moment 200 m away from the house. He ran and found his two parents covered in blood and in very grave conditions.
