Journalists of various Albanian televisions organized a protest today in Tirana, to raise awareness against road accidents that are taking the lives of many people, while the most recent was yesterday’s at ‘Rruga e Kavajës’ in Tirana, where fortunately baby in a stroller escaped injury
Journalist Anila Hoxha, said in the protest that the media has not only an informative but also an awareness-raising role, therefore she called on all drivers to respect the road traffic rules.
In 2021, there were a total of 1,376 road accidents from 1,234 accidents that occurred in 2020, an increase of 11.5%.
In 2021 the number of injured is 1,860 people, from 1,598 people in 2020, while the number of deaths from road accidents is 197 people compared to 181 people who lost their lives in 2020.
