42.000 square meters of state-owned land in Berat will be put to
function of the economy, with the purpose of gathering, processing,
packaging and preserving agricultural products.
The Minister of Economic Development, Milva Ekonomi, signed an agreement that gives this land to an Israeli company for 20 years, for the symbolic price of 1 Euro.
“The investment will reach 20 million USD for these 20 years. The company will hire 50 people”, Ekonomi said.
The property will also have a lab that will serve to certify products for the local market and experts, in cooperation with Israeli companies.
