Tirana Prosecution Office continues to investigate the case of the murdered teenager in the Sharra landfill in order to shed light on how 17-year old Ardit Gjoklaj died and how he was hired at the company operating there.

The company’s economist Bujar Daja, was asked about the matter, but said only Edurim Teqja, the firm’s manager had the right to hire anyone and denied he had any information about the teenager. Prosecutors say that while Teqja was assigned as responsible for the working procedures, in reality it was Besnik Braha, currently under police custody, which did the job.

Asked by prosecutors Braha has said to have gone at the landfill to fill machines with fuel one day after the accident and some hours later was called by Elton Meta, the shift manager who informed him a dead body was found. Asked by prosecutors the directors of the company initially denied the new the victim, suggesting he was brought there by garbage trucks, but this version was ruled out by later investigations.

Prosecutors say that after the forensic analyses they can confirm the teenager was hit by a excavating machine, driven by Edmond Kallari, who is currently in prison charged with improper driving of working machineries and violation of working procedures.
