The Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, accused the High Council of
Justice members of being part of the evil front that is trying to create
obstacles for the justice reform and other changes realized by this
government.
“The HCJ members who were present in the meeting against me give me more reasons to declare that this is the HCJ of injustice and of richness. These members are attacking the government’s fight against crime and corruption, which is based on the rule of law”, Tahiri declared.
The Minister of Interior said that he will not stay silent despite the lawsuit that is trying to stop the fight against impunity.
“The HCJ is attacking me for public denouncing Judge Arian Aliaj, who has released a prisoner sentenced to 14 years in prison for forced sexual relation, and he was suspended for this reason. I haven’t lied about this”, Tahiri said.
According to him, the Judge in question has released other elements sentenced for armed robbery and assault.
