Intense rainfall in Elbasan, water floods agricultural lands

55 millimeters was the intensity of rainfall during the night and this morning in the region of Elbasan, where many problems were caused due to floods.
The most worrying situation is in the villages of Murriqan and Jagodina, in the municipality of Elbasan, where the waters of streams and the Shkumbin River have flooded agricultural lands and planted greenhouses, causing great concern to residents.
Meanwhile, the Civil Emergency Headquarters in the prefecture and the Municipality are already on the ground to unblock the canals in those areas where they are blocked by inerts, which have caused the flooding of streams and the river.
In the area of Muriqan were damaged the embankments built in the 70′ to protect the agricultural lands of the village Jagodina, an important agricultural area of the Elbasan Municipality.
