Today, 306 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered, while 4 people have died from the disease.
In the last 24 hours of COVID19 in Albania 1412 tests have been performed. 71 citizens have recovered from the disease bringing to 10466 the number of recovered in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
Positive cases confirmed in the last 24 hours have been identified in these municipalities:
179 cases in Tirana, 25 cases each in Korça and Vlora,
16 cases in Fier, 13 cases in Elbasan, 10 cases in Berat,
6 cases in Mirdita, 5 cases in Durrës,
4 cases each in Kavaja, Mallakastër, Pogradec,
2 cases each in Mat, Roskovec, Bulqiza, Peqin,
1 case each in Shkodra, Kruja, Lushnje, Rrogozhina, Gjirokastra, Shijak, Patos.
Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 260 patients are being treated, 15 in intensive therapy of which 6 are intubated.
The battle with COVID19 was lost by a 21-year-old boy from Elbasan with concomitant diseases, a 49-year-old man from Elbasan, a 70-year-old man from Kurbin with concomitant diseases who was being treated in intensive therapy, and prof. Elmaz Elezi, the well-known 85-year-old doctor, former director of the infectious disease clinic at QSUT.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
