The “Elbasan Arena” stadium was inaugurated yesterday in presence of
Prime Minister Edi Rama, the President of the Albanian Football
Federation, Armando Duka, and other high-level officials.
The Prime Minister met with the footballers of the Albanian national team, and then government officials hit some penalties with goalkeeper Ertrit Berisha.
Mr.Rama said for Supersport: “It looked like the stadium wouldn\’t be ready on time, but we made it. Now we have only the Olympic lanes. I hope that more families will start coming in this stadium. I guarantee you that this is only the beginning”.
The Albanian Football Federation passed the first test before the match with Denmark.
The Football Federation leaders had taken all measures for the friendly match with the U-19 team of Elbasan would be similar to an international one, starting from safety in the stadium, usage of electronic tickets, etc.
