By decision of the Council of Ministers, Sunday has been declared a day of national mourning, in honor of the victims as a result of the tragic railway accident that occurred in the Republic of Greece on February 28.
57 people lost their lives from the collision of the trains, while among the victims there are also 6 Albanian citizen.
Today, in all state and public institutions, the national flag was lowered to half-mast.
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, expressed her sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
“So many lives cut in half so suddenly and so tragically! On this day of mourning, a special prayer goes out to the families of 6 of our compatriots who lost their lives in this accident: Klaudia Lato, Ifijenia Micka, Erieta Molko, Ioanis Xhiollas, Denis Ruçi, Pavlin Bozo”, writes Xhaçka on Facebook .
