The city of Korça in the southeast of Albania has woken up today covered by the whiteness of snow.
With the decrease of temperatures all over the country, in Korca the snow on the houses has created a completely different picture in the middle of January.
After several days of rain throughout the country, which brought floods in some areas, the city known as “Paris of Albania” is covered by whiteness.
In the area of Korça, Dardha and Voskopoja, snowfall registered a thickness of 5-10 cm. Snow is also present on national road axes.
The decrease in temperatures has created the presence of ice on the roads, so the traffic sector calls for caution for drivers as well applying winter chain tire equipment.
