The week of Hungarian culture ended today in Durrës with a gala concert with works by the well-known composer Franc List.
During an exclusive musical evening, the Albanian symphony orchestra led by conductor Oleg Arapi performed three world masterpieces by classic composer Franc List, such as Rhapsody No. 2, Tantum Dance (Dance of Death) and the symphonic poem “Prelude”.
“It is a concert dedicated to the composer F. List, who has today his 212th anniversary. We are happy to bring this program outside of Tirana. There has been a lot of interest from people and we are delighted that so many people love these pieces. The entire orchestra was selected by artistic director Liman Maloku”, said pianist Almira Emiri.
Evaluating the relations between the two countries, the representative of the Hungarian embassy expressed his satisfaction with the variety of activities during the days of Hungarian culture that took place in Tirana, Korçë, Pogradec, Vlorë and Durrës. In Durrës he emphasized that Hungary will hold the presidency of the EU next year and one of its priorities will be the ascension of Albania into the family of the European Union.
“We have a pleasant past, a beautiful present and I hope the future will be the same. Next year will be even more beautiful as the Presidency of the EU will be held by Hungary and one of the key issues is Albania’s entry into the EU”, said Adam Lovassy, the charge d’affaires of the Hungarian Embassy.
