Prime Minister Edi Rama during his visit to the new Health Center No. 1 in Tirana has commented on the scandal of the sanitary worker Tire Alldervishi, who was left in detention today after extorting money from a patient with COVID by pretending to be a nurse.
Rama thanked the work of investigative journalists who uncovered the case, and said it was an alarm bell for citizens not to follow such course of action, but to believe in the measures taken by the government.
“I am sorry for the history of the workers that soiled the figure of doctors and nurses. What has warmed me up is the work done by investigative journalists because they have highlighted an indigestible sludge that has not turned out to be a chain of actions.
It is an alarm bell for people not to follow such paths. We know that there is no forest without pigs, but we hope that no such instances will be found that involve doctors”, said Rama.
