The German Ambassador, Helmut Hoffman, said that the asylum seeker issue
should be left outside political debates. Present in the Foreign
Parliamentary Commission, Hoffman advised the reason that make Albanians
seek asylum.
“The reception of the asylum seekers was very ‘generous’ with the period of the stay and the money they were being given. My advice is that the asylum seeker request should be left outside political debates.
The Ambassador said that Germany supports the integration of Albania, but he doesn’t forget to mention that the harsh language of accusations does not help the integration process. The justice reform is key, according to Hoffman.
