Heavy weapons are discovered in the north of Kosovo, the police prevent possible terrorist attack

The Kosova Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, said that the Police prevented a terrorist attack on Friday, in the area where ethnic tensions have been rife in recent weeks.

Through a post on Facebook, Sveçla has given details about this discovery, writing that thanks to the engagement of specialized units of the Kosovo Police and the intelligence information, a car with Belgrade license plates has been identified, about 100 m from the Municipality of Zvecan, in which large quantities of weapons, explosive devices and various ammunition were discovered, including explosives, automatic weapons, stun bombs, military uniforms.

“All these tools were intended and serve to carry out terrorist attacks against the citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. This is yet another evidence that Serbia, through such groups and organizations, aims to destabilize our country”, writes Minister Sveçla.

According to him, the Kosovo Police, along with all other security bodies, will continue their commitment in preventing any possible act that aims to undermine the security of the country.
