Haxhi Giu, Prosecutor of “Hajdari” case, arrested over corruption

Police announced the arrest of Prosecutor Haxhi Giu. Official sources
say the arrest was realized by the Serious Crimes and the Task Force in
Tirana.

Official data say that the arrest was made after a two-month investigation, and there are suspicions for active corruption.

29000 EUR were seized, money the Prosecutor had taken in exchange for the trial.

Haxhi Giu is known to the public for the case of the murder of the Democratic Party MP, Azem Hajdari.
